What will you be doing?
The Machining Deburr is a key role within the machining business, directly influencing the quality of components from machine operators. This hands-on role uses various hand tools like grinders, sanding discs, sanding wheels, and stones.
* Remove Defects: Ensure top-notch quality by removing defects on forgings.
* Master Tools: Skillfully use pedestal grinders and various air tools.
* Perfect Finishes: Achieve high-standard surface finishes using grinding tools and abrasives.
* Inspection Savvy: Understand and apply visual inspection standards and specifications.
* Versatile Tasks: Perform other ad hoc duties as required within the manufacturing cell.
* Hit Metrics: Consistently achieve key metrics set by the company.
* Quick Fixes: Efficiently handle rework issues to meet company targets.
* Safety First: Adhere to Environmental, Health, and Safety Personal Protective Equipment standards.
What will you bring to the party?
* Proficiency in reading precision measuring equipment and understanding
* Proficiency in PC DMIS software.
* Experience with statistical process control (SPC).
* Manual dexterity for handling small tools and components.
* Skilled with grinders, sanding discs, wheels, stones, and air tools.
* Ability to achieve high-standard surface finishes using grinding tools and abrasives.
* Proficient in using calipers, micrometers, and gauges; capable of interpreting engineering drawings.
* Strong interpersonal skills to foster teamwork and achieve business objectives.
* Health & Safety consciousness with excellent risk awareness.
