Description:
We are recruiting on behalf of a prestigious and leading Manufacturing/Engineering company based in Kings Lynn. Due to their continued growth and development, they are seeking to employ a De-Burring Operative to start asap.
This is an on-going contract, potentially leading to permanent for the right candidate.
Hours:
Monday to Friday
7am – 3.30pm
£11.44 per hour
Overtime available, time and a half after 40 hours.
De-Burring Operative
Reporting directly to the Laser Manager, General Works Manager
Purpose of the role:
To ensure that material and products are collated handled and labelled in accordance with the relevant information, all materials must be handled with due care and attention. Ensure that all Burrs and sharp edges have been removed before parts go on to processing.
Make sure that all work allocated to you is on schedule and completed to a high standard. Have a clear understanding of all issues like safety and company rules so that proper procedures are followed at all times. Manage high stress situations and resolve issues efficiently.
You will also be required to work in other areas aiding as required.
Responsible For: Ensuring that all laser cut parts are de-burred, collated and
packed in the correct manner.
Duties & Key responsibilities.
Daily Operations
Complete daily operations and report to the Laser manager or general works manager on a daily basis.
Responsible for ensuring that all laser products are cleaned, de-burred, collated and packed in the correct manner.
ensure maximum productivity is achieved.
use equipment and processes that are at your disposal.
Inspect materials and end products to ensure that all quality expectations are being met.
Ensure that the buildings and yard are clean and organized in order to maximize productivity.
Responsible for delivery of quality products within your team.
Responsible for maintaining the company’s quality policy and objectives with your team.
Completion of all paperwork in a correct manner ensuring that all goods are counted and checked, then signed for on all occasions.
Perform in-process and final inspections as per UKAS procedures.
Follow all UKAS procedures and work instructions and support your team to work within these procedures.
Teamwork and Staffing.
Contribute towards setting and delivering team goals.
Build good working relationships within the team to ensure all staff feel valued, engaged and motivated in their work.
Responsible for ensuring time keeping standards are maintained.
Regularly communicate with operational staff within your team including holding regular team meetings
Ensure you and your team understands and is working within all safety, quality, and production measures. Support and help your team to deliver within these measurements.
Health & Safety
Responsible for safety awareness in all jobs to help eliminate injuries with the department.
Constantly check for safety hazards and ensure problems are rectified promptly.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Follow all safety requirements.
Actively participate in safety improvement activities
Report any unsafe practices by co-workers.
Immediately report all injuries and other safety incidents
Safely use handheld power tools in the manner they are intended using guidance and training given.
