Position: Day Shift Supervisor
Salary: £14.00ph - £15.00ph (depending on experience)
Shifts: Monday – Friday, 6am – 6pm
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Day Shift Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and setting high expectations for our on-site staff. Key responsibilities include:
* Providing leadership and setting high expectations for staff on site.
* Monitoring, controlling, and optimizing activities across the site, including plant operations, staff workflow, and inbound and outbound loads.
* Ensuring compliance with the company’s Health, Safety, and Environmental rules and management systems at all times.
* Promoting good practices among site staff.
* Ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures by all on site.
* Continuously monitoring standards and rules set by the directors and Site Manager regarding housekeeping, safety, health, welfare, environment, and production quality control.
* Ensuring site security.
* Overseeing documentation relevant to ISO standards.
* Communicating professionally and effectively with the Director, Site Manager, and all site staff.
Person Specification:
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
* Experience with manufacturing/processing plant.
* Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Self-motivated with strong problem-solving abilities.
* Experience with mobile plant operations, particularly Forklift Trucks (FLT), loading shovels, and grabs.
* Proven experience as a supervisor or in a similar role.
* High standard of English, both written and verbal.
