Anderson Knight is delighted to be retained with our client to recruit a Data Insights & Impact Analyst. This is an exciting opportunity for an analytical and commercially minded professional to play a pivotal role in strengthening the organisation's approach to performance management, impact measurement, data governance, and organisational insight.

Working closely with teams across the business, you will develop meaningful performance reporting, create accessible Power BI and Excel dashboards, improve data quality standards, and deliver evidence-based insights that support strategic decision-making.

The Role

The Data Insights & Impact Analyst will support the Strategic Partnership & Programme Development Director in the ongoing development and implementation of the organisation's Performance Management Framework. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing effective performance monitoring and reporting arrangements that enable the business to achieve its strategic priorities and support a culture of continuous improvement.
This role will combine performance analysis, data governance, research, insight generation, stakeholder engagement, and business intelligence reporting to help ensure organisational decisions are informed by accurate, timely, and robust data.

Key Responsibilities

Performance Management & Reporting
• Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the organisation's Performance Management Framework.
• Develop and maintain effective performance monitoring systems that track progress against strategic objectives and business plan commitments.
• Qualitative data management, creating narrative or looking at the impact of programmes/services on users.
• Design, build, and maintain engaging visual dashboards using Power BI and Excel to communicate performance information to a range of stakeholders.
• Guide and influence managers in the development of meaningful KPIs, performance measures, and outcome frameworks.
• Analyse organisational performance data and provide insights that support evidence-based decision-making and effective resource allocation.
• Produce regular and ad hoc performance reports, briefing papers, and presentations for the Senior Leadership Team and wider stakeholders.
• Analyse and evaluate information against organisational objectives and agreed performance measures.
• Identify trends, patterns, risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement through quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• Conduct research and benchmarking exercises using internal and external data sources to evaluate company performance and sector trends.
• Present findings and recommendations clearly to a range of audiences, translating complex information into accessible insights.
• Support policy development and strategic planning through research, analysis, and evidence gathering.
• Support compliance with data governance requirements and IT security procedures.

Person Specification

• Experience in performance management, data analysis, business intelligence, research, or a similar analytical role.
• Experience designing and developing dashboards using Power BI and/or advanced Excel.
• Experience developing performance indicators, metrics, and reporting frameworks.
• Experience producing reports and presenting insights to senior stakeholders.
Essential Knowledge & Skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, formulas, pivot tables, and reporting.
• Strong Power BI skills including dashboard development, data modelling, and visualisation.
• Knowledge of data quality principles and data governance best practice.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interpret complex information and provide clear, actionable recommendations.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to build positive relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Qualifications
• Degree qualification in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Social Research, Business Management, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
• Relevant professional certifications in Power BI, Data Analytics, Research, or Project Management would be advantageous.
