We’re looking for an experienced Data Governance Manager to establish and lead GreenSquareAccord’s organisation-wide approach to data governance, quality and stewardship.

Reporting to the Head of Data & Analytics, you’ll develop and embed our Data Governance Framework and Operating Model, ensuring data is managed as a strategic organisational asset, giving you the opportunity to build a new function, drive cultural change and improve how data supports decision-making, reporting, digital transformation and the responsible use of AI.

You’ll work collaboratively with colleagues across Digital Services and Transformation, Governance, Data Protection and operational teams.

What You’ll Do:

* Develop and embed the Data Governance Framework, Operating Model and roadmap

* Establish Data Owner and Data Steward roles and governance forums

* Develop data cataloguing, metadata management and business glossary capabilities

* Work with teams to map data across systems and identify risks and opportunities

* Provide guidance, training and support to improve organisational data literacy

* Support responsible and ethical governance of AI, analytics and emerging technologies

* Monitor and report on governance performance, risks and progress to senior leaders

* Develop business cases, manage budgets and support data-related change initiatives

What We Need

You’ll have experience in data governance or data management within a complex organisation, with a strong understanding of data quality, ownership and stewardship.

You’ll also bring:

* Experience designing and implementing Data Governance Frameworks

* Strong knowledge of data quality, metadata and master data management

* Experience working with BI, reporting and cloud platforms such as Azure or Microsoft Fabric

* Experience delivering organisation-wide change and cultural improvement

* Knowledge of data-related legal, regulatory and information security requirements

* The ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences

What We Offer

* Hybrid working with expected office attendance once a week

* 37-hour working week

* Annual leave plus bank holidays

* Defined contribution pension

* Employee Assistance Programme

* Flexible working opportunities

If you’re ready to establish a new data governance function and help GSA build a stronger data culture, we’d love to hear from you
