Birmingham / Hybrid (1-2 days a week on site)
The Company
My client is an award-winning financial services business who are experiencing a continued period of growth and transformation. They are headquartered in Birmingham City Centre.
The Role
This newly created Data Governance Lead role will be responsible for data governance initiatives and ensure the integrity, quality, and security of data assets.
The Data Governance Lead will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to support strategic objectives and regulatory compliance requirements.
The Person
This is a senior role where the successful candidate will be given a great degree or autonomy and responsibility, so we are looking for an experienced Data Governance Lead or Manager.
Must have proven experience in data governance and data management, preferably in the financial services industry.
Must have a strong understanding of data governance frameworks, standards, and best practices and will be able to display proven experience in developing and implementing data governance strategies and procedures.
This will be a broad and fast paced role working as part of a small but rapidly growing team so we are looking for a confident self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
This is a hybrid role with the successful candidate expected to be on-site in Birmingham 1-2 days a week.
