Jonathan Lee Recruitment is excited to be working with an organisation in the Argicultural sector helping bridge the gap between innovation and industry end users. They are looking to hire a Data Engineer to join there Data team to assist in expanding the data capabilities investing in an ETL platform for geospatial data. This is a hybrid role based out of the site at Cranfield and reports into the Head of Robics and AI.
As a Data Engineer, you will help build integrations to prepare data and enable the automation of data collection from a wide variety of sources available to the organisation, some simple and some requiring complex approaches. The key skills the client is looking for candidates to have are in FME and Python.
The duties and responsibilities in this Data Engineer role are:
Build data collection pipelines in FME for multiple agricultural data sources.
Assist with the development of data systems to enable project partners to explore and understand our data.
Maintenance and operation of the data integrations.
Maintain and operate data integrations.
Act as the primary technical liaison between the Robotics & AI Team, Project Managers and external partners to ensure effective communication and alignment throughout projects.
To apply for this Data Engineer role, your soft skills, expertise and experience should include:
Use of Python to create scripts for data manipulation, especially within an FME architecture
Experience writing and optimising queries to extract and manipulate data from PostGIS databases
Excellent teamwork skills
