Your new company
You'll be joining a leading international bank in the City of London. You'll sit in its Payments team, which supports the bank's day-to-day operations and works closely with teams across the business.

Your new role
As a Data Analyst in the Payments & Data Solutions team, you'll use data, reporting and automation to make the department more efficient.

Your responsibilities will include:

Building reports and dashboards from scratch, working from requirements gathered across different stakeholders
Pulling, checking and analysing data from internal systems with SQL and Python
Developing and maintaining Excel-based reporting tools
Supporting automation, including monitoring RPA processes and investigating exceptions
Finding ways to improve processes and automate manual tasks
Assessing how system enhancements and regulatory changes affect the business, and gathering requirements
Supporting project governance with trackers, action logs and management reporting
Working with Technology, Operations, Risk and external stakeholders from requirements through to testing and implementation
What you'll need to succeed
Essential:

A degree in a subject such as Business, Finance, Economics or Information Systems
Experience in financial services
Commercial experience with SQL and Python
Experience building reports end to end with business users
Strong Excel skills (formulas and pivot tables)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with good attention to detail
Good communication skills and a flexible approach to changing priorities

Highly desirable:
Payments experience, ideally including SWIFT / ISO 20022
Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate or VBA
Exposure to RPA, process improvement or digital transformation projects
