Consumer Centre Administration Assistant
Location: Port Sunlight - The Wirrall (Some remote working)
Contract: Six Months
Pay Rate: £15.24 - 30 Hours Per Week
Job Description
The Consumer Centre at our client's Port Sunlight facilitates consumer testing for a wide range of studies that support the business programme. The Centre provides test facilities, panellist recruitment, appointment booking, hosting, and manages panellist payments.
The administration assistant role combines customer service, data management and general administration. The job will include contributing to the effective and efficient running of the Consumer Centre by arranging appointments, maintaining databases, assisting consumers both in person and over the phone, and working with scientific staff to enable the efficient running of studies.
This role is working in a team of 4 and reporting to the Consumer Centre manager/Deputy.
Responsibilities
Allocation of panellists to studies
Working with scientists to set up studies.
Answering panellist questions and queries
Maintaining accurate records of Consumer Centre and panellist activity
Compliance with Market Research guidelines, adherence to Consumer Centre Code of Conduct and general standard operating procedures including all site safety requirements
Liaising with the public and with Consumer Centre staff and scientific teams
Handling sensitive information such as medical histories, adverse reactions, and information / consent documentation
Working with team to ensure the maintenance and upkeep of the facility
Skills Required
Strong demonstrable track record in data entry or appointment/schedule systems.
Used to a fast-moving work environment
Can show initiative and prioritise tasks
Must have computer experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Conversant with MS Office programs. (especially Word & Excel)
Good professional telephone manner and communication skills.
Experience of customer service in some capacity is desirable
Team player.
Professional presentation.
Must be able to read, write and speak good English
Qualifications & Experience
Grade C GCSE or above, or equivalent, in Maths and English
Experience in a R&D or Market Research environment is preferable but not essential. Any previous roles dealing with members of the public would be advantageous.
Experience in using and learning data or booking related software. You will have support and time to learn but need to be confident and independent in managing your learning and show rapid progress.
Communication
The job holder needs to have good verbal and written communication skills within the team, with panellists, as well as with R&D scientists. The job holder represents the company at the interface with the public and must be able to interact effectively with them.
Computer Literacy
Good computer literacy (MS Office, e.g. Word & Excel) and accurate data entry.
Confident and able to learn new skills with support.
The role involves entering and accessing panellist information that is confidential or sensitive.
Time management
The job holder will need to be able to work independently in a busy environment.
More about the role:
This role is for 30 hours per week. Some flexibility may be required/given in working pattern. Occasional working from home may be possible for short periods. Usual pattern will be on site, 4 days of 7.5 hours a day with a one-hour unpaid lunch.
A performance related bonus may be payable at the end of the assignment.
