The Role

Here at Capgemini Engineering, we are looking for a data administrator to join our diverse and continuously growing Mechanical & Physical engineering unit.

The UK Mechanical & Physical Engineering Unit provides mechanical engineering services to a range of customers across the aerospace, defense, energy and automotive sectors. The unit is approximately 170 people in size and is enjoying strong growth with a number of customers.

As a Data Administrator, your role will include:

* Managing the process of development of Defence Customer Hub from idea stage, to deployment, using Azure DevOps – main entity being the User Story.

* Potentially managing releases or working alongside Release Manager/Change Manager.

* Meeting with stakeholders for discussions throughout development process, to refine User Stories based on agreed ways of working set by the Product Owner & our external technical resource (currently Hitachi).

* Developing items in the backlog to be reviewed periodically and checked for blockers/progress points etc. to ensure nothing is stale or missed.

* Optional: Running the daily Hub team Kanban board meeting via Teams or in person following agreed process by the PO (no externals).

Your Profile:

Experience Required

* Excellent written & verbal English (No AI use).

* Availability to work in office or remotely as part of a small team, with regular/daily meetings using the Kanban method.

* Confident liaising with senior and regular stakeholders.

* Process driven – able to follow and work within processes.

* Microsoft Office confident across the suite – Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel, Word etc.

* Microsoft Dynamics experience preferred but not essential (awareness is expected).

* Azure DevOps experience preferred but not essential (awareness is expected).

* Able to book & run meetings.

* Microsoft Teams aware (experience even better).

* Power BI/Python awareness a bonus!

Essential:

* Microsoft Azure DevOps awareness

* Microsoft Dynamics awareness

* Microsoft Office suite confident

* In person, Microsoft Teams & email confident.

* Happy to work on site at Filton, Bristol.

Desirable:

* Microsoft Azure DevOps confident

* Microsoft Dynamics confident

* Kanban / Kanbanize aware

* Confident liaising with senior department leaders as needed

Security Clearance

Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS)

To be successfully appointed to this role you will need to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard checks.

There are no nationality or residency restrictions, although if you have resided outside of the UK within the last 3 years, further checks may be required.

There are other criteria and check required for BPSS, and throughout the recruitment process, you will be asked questions about your security clearance eligibility such as, but not limited to, country of residence and nationality.
