Vacancy: Damp Surveyor
Type: Permanent Basis
Location: Buxton/Staffordshire Area
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 Per Year
A well-established, and rapidly expanding principle contractor who are currently looking to recruit a Damp Surveyor on a permanent basis. This company has gone from strength to strength each year and have an exciting growth plan in place. Due to recently winning new contracts which are due to commence imminently, they are looking to expand their team.
You will be working in Buxton and Staffordshire Moorlands on behalf of councils and housing associations with a reputable contractor.
Role/Responsibilities
Inspection of properties to specify repair/improvements, specifically to damp and mould cases.
Manage contractors' input in repairing and completing works.
Carry out post-inspections and quality assurances.
Understanding technical terms and damp causes, from leaks to condensation.
Rising damp, penetrating damp, cold bridging, and a good understanding.
Manage tenant expectations and educate tenants on helpful ways of reducing dampness and mould in properties. Benefits

Monday to Friday: 40 Hours Hours Per WeekRequirements
The CSTDB (Certificated Surveyor of Timber & Dampness in Buildings) or Certificated Surveyor of Dampness in Buildings (CSDB)
Construction related degree or relevant experience
Experience within social housing with a strong understanding of building maintenance terminology and repair activities.
Knowledge of the housing condition legislation, including disrepair and Fit for human habitation Act.
Understanding of HHSRS, Party Wall Act, Environmental Health Act and Building Regulations.
Experience of successfully undertaking site visits including identification of building defects, work in progress visits and post inspections.To Apply
