Damp and Mould Surveyor
Public Sector - Local Authority
Full Time - Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
Temporary role - 6 months with possible extension
Hybrid working - 3 - 4 days carrying out surveys around Borough of Croydon, remainder at home. One morning per week will need to go to office before going out to surveys.
£330 per day Umbrella - this is the max rate that can be offered.
IR35 status: INSIDE
IT equipment providedMUST HAVES:

Previous Damp & Mould Surveying experience incl. HHSRS knowledge
A Full UK Drivers Licence
Access to your own vehicle Role Details:

To manage all surveying duties within the housing stock and carry out any technical inspections on the planned works projects
To provide summary reports where required of all on-going managed cases and technical de-canted properties outlining levels of performance of the contractors and performance manage contractors delivering repairs to ensure strict timelines of completions are adhered to
To undertake technical inspections of the homes including all leased properties to distinguish planned works in line with the companies Policy'sKey Knowledge:

Previous Social Housing experience required
Strong team player with excellent communication skills
Experience working on repairs, damp and mould projects The Damp and Mould Surveyor is responsible for identifying the causes of these problems and recommending appropriate remediation measures to improve living conditions for tenants and maintain property value.

Key Responsibilities:

Property Inspections: Conduct inspections of reported damp and mould issues. This includes both scheduled inspections and responding to tenant requests.

Determine the source and extent of damp and mould problems through visual inspections and the use of specialized equipment when necessary. record survey findings, and affected areas, using digital tools or forms. Maintain organized and comprehensive records.

Collaborate with maintenance and repair teams to develop plans to address identified issues effectively. Ensure recommendations comply with relevant health and safety regulations

The Damp and Mould Surveyor will help manage the process helping and controlling information for inspections and contractor management ensuring that these are carried out within the time frame allotted to this process. They will update systems, monitor and escalate issues where required. As part of this function they are responsible for raising orders and managing works. Without this post we are unable to carry out these functions that will result in disrepair cases and reputational damage.
