Cyber Security Intelligence and Communications Specialist (6-Month Contract).

Are you interested in joining an organisation on an exciting and challenging Cyber Security Intelligence and Audit contract role playing a pivitol role in communicating threats and significant Cyber Security information to a security audience based around the world? Working within a complex environment, this will be a fascinating and long-term contract to start in August 2024.

You will Join a global powerhouse with a multi-billion pound turnover. Our client's Information and Security Risk Management Division is a pivotal force in safeguarding and enhancing information security across the enterprise. You will join one of five newly established regional teams, collaborate with Information and Security Risk to elevate cyber security governance, maturity, and risk mitigation for subsidiaries.

Title: Cyber Security Intelligence and Communications Specialist.
Duration: 6 months
Start Date: 01 August 2024
Location: Slough/Hybrid (1 day a week in the office)
​Rate: c£550 - £630 per day neg on exp out of scope of IR35

Main Tasks and Responsibilities As a Cyber Security Intelligence and Communications Specialist, you will:

Curate Open-source Intelligence: Research and share valuable insights with regional information security stakeholders.
Develop Cyber Security Communications: Collaborate with the EMEA Head of Cyber Security to create and deliver an impactful communications program.
Participate in On-site Risk Assessments: Contribute to the development and execution of the EMEA corporate On-site Risk Assessment (ORA) program.
Foster a Cyber Security Community: Engage with peers to cultivate a proactive EMEA cyber security network.
Work with data protection, privacy, and government relations teams to enhance information exchange.
Support Threat Detection: Assist the EMEA SOC team with threat detection engineering activities.
Maintain Information Sharing Platforms on corporate Teams and SharePoint solutions.
Incident Response: Act as a key member of the EMEA incident response team, conducting research, tracking incidents, and communicating effectively.
Develop Reporting Methods: Work on incident classification and reporting using Service Now.
Identify and document processes to support automated incident response with Splunk SOAR.
Daily Status Meetings: Participate in EMEA information security daily status meetings.
Skills and Experience Required. To thrive in this role, you should have:

Experience: At least 3 years of experience in two of the three main responsibility areas within a cyber security team.
Awareness Role Experience: Previous experience in a cyber security awareness role is advantageous.
Workshop and Conference Skills: Ability to produce and host workshops and conferences, including technical delivery and logistical support.
Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze diverse information sources critically.
Communication Skills: Excellent listening, verbal, and inter-personal skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to varied audiences.
Self-motivation: Ability to work independently in dynamic environments.
Collaboration: Experience working with partner organisations and offshore teams.
Qualifications While this is not a technical role, a solid understanding of cyber security and infrastructure principles is essential. Qualifications in cyber security, media communications, or infrastructure technologies are advantageous.
