Job Title: Cyber Security Engineer/Architect (6-Month Contract)

Location: Lincolnshire (Hybrid Working)

Contract: 6 Months

Rate: £800/day

Role Overview: As a Cyber Security Engineer/Architect, you will be instrumental in defining, identifying, and specifying security countermeasures. You will drive suppliers to deliver the required systems and changes, manage projects, and ensure that vulnerability management is advanced to provide top-tier cyber security.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Head of Cyber Security and other security and engineering colleagues, both in-house and through a 3rd party provider, to identify, specify, plan, and deliver projects and initiatives to improve cyber security.
Lead projects including security improvements in M365, Azure, networks, and firewalls.
Utilise at least 5 years of technical security experience to enhance our security posture.
Apply strong technical skills, including expertise in Azure, Microsoft Defender, M365 networking, and firewalls.
Work independently, effectively tackling challenges and keeping the programme lead informed of progress.
Plan and drive the delivery of changes to improve security measures.
Analyse situations, understand and communicate the security context, consider solutions (both tactical and strategic), and ensure successful delivery.
Maintain a good working knowledge of security best practices and vulnerability management.Essential Qualifications and Experience:

At least 5 years technical security experience
Strong technical skills including Azure, Microsoft Defender, M365 networking and firewalls.
Able to work on own initiative, able to cut through challenges and keep the programme lead informed of progress
An ability to plan and drive the delivery of change to improve security
Able to analyse the situation, understand and communicate the security context, consider solutions (both tactical and strategic) and drive the delivery to completion
A good working knowledge of security best practice
Good working knowledge of vulnerability management .
Desirable Skills and Experience:

Experience with security testing tools.
Knowledge of formal standards such as NIST, NCFC, and CIS.
