An IT support company is seeking a motivated Cyber Security Apprentice to help protect its digital infrastructure while developing essential skills. You’ll work alongside the cybersecurity team to protect systems, monitor vulnerabilities and respond to security incidents. You’ll also help implement and maintain security measures to keep the IT environment secure. This role suits someone keen to learn and work towards becoming a certified cybersecurity professional.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
* Help monitor network activity to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities
* Assist with identifying, reporting and reducing security risks
* Help the team respond to security incidents and put response strategies into practice
* Perform routine system checks and audits to keep security protocols up to date
* Help manage user access controls and permissions
* Help develop and update security policies, procedures and best practices
* Work with the IT team to investigate and resolve security issues
* Keep up to date with cybersecurity trends and technologies
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

* Basic IT skills and familiarity with common operating systems and applications
