Customs Manager - Dagenham
Location: Dagenham, Essex
Salary: Circa £50,000 - Negotiable DOE
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Working Pattern: 100% Office-Based
I'm recruiting for an experienced Customs Manager to join a well-established international logistics business based in Dagenham.
This is a hands-on leadership role, managing a team of 4 and taking ownership of the full customs function across import and export movements.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support a team of 4 Customs Operators
Oversee customs processes and compliance
Complete customs entries and T forms for export trailers
Arrange customs clearance for import trailers
Manage VAT and duties
Handle HMRC queries
Mentor and train team members where needed
What We're Looking For
Minimum 5 years customs experience
Strong knowledge of the full import/export customs process
Experience dealing directly with HMRC
Previous team leadership/supervisory experience
Experience using Sequoia
Strong communication and organisational skillsA great opportunity for an experienced customs professional looking to take ownership of a busy function within an established logistics operation.
Salary is circa £50,000 and negotiable depending on experience.
