Customs Coordinator (12-Month Maternity Cover) Location: RG24 8AG Up to £34,000 DOE

The Opportunity

A well-established and growing logistics business is seeking a Customs Coordinator to join their team on a 12-month maternity cover. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a fast-paced environment where you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth movement of goods across international borders.

You'll be working as part of an experienced customs team, handling a variety of import and export entries while ensuring full compliance with UK customs regulations.

The Role

Prepare and submit customs declarations (imports & exports)
Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and international trade requirements
Liaise with clients, hauliers, and internal teams to coordinate shipments
Handle documentation checks and resolve any discrepancies
Monitor shipments and respond to any customs-related queries
Work with systems such as CDS and other customs platforms

Requirements

Previous experience in a Customs Coordinator / Customs Clerk role
Strong understanding of UK customs procedures (imports & exports)
Experience using CDS / customs systems
High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
Strong communication skills and a proactive approach
