Role: Customs Coordinator - Imports
Location: Hayes
Salary: £29,000-£35,000
Hours: 4 on 4 off (07:00-19:00)
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Customs Coordinator to join a busy and fast-paced airfreight operation in the Hayes area to complete import shipments.
Working on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, this role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-volume environment and enjoys taking ownership of shipments from arrival through to clearance.
The Role:
Managing the end-to-end customs clearance process for import shipments
Liaising with HMRC, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth movement of freight
Handling customer enquiries via phone and email, providing timely updates
Ensuring all documentation is accurate, compliant, and completed within required timeframes
Monitoring shipments and proactively resolving any issues or delays
Updating internal systems and maintaining accurate records
What We're Looking For:
Previous experience within customs clearance (air imports preferred)
Strong understanding of UK customs procedures and compliance
Confident communicator with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
Proactive mindset with the ability to prioritise and manage workloads effectively
