Customs Clerk – Felixstowe
Salary £35K- £40K + Bonus
Hours 8.30-5pm

We’re a busy freight and logistics company based in Felixstowe, keeping goods moving across borders and dealing with everything customs can throw at us! We handle a significant volume of wine and alcohol shipments, so a good understanding of excise procedures is a real bonus (sadly, sampling the stock isn’t part of the job!
Do you know your GVMS from your GMR and your T1 from your T2? Can you navigate UK port customs without needing a lie-down?
You’ll need at least 5 years’ experience in:
* GVMS, Phase 2 and T1 clearances across all UK ports.
* European customs entries and import procedures.
* Home Use, Excise Bond (0700) and General Bond (7100).
* Experience handling wine and alcohol imports would be a big advantage.
We’re looking for someone knowledgeable, organised and calm under pressure, with a good sense of humour for when customs systems have other ideas!
