Customer Support Assistant/Engineering

Fantastic opportunity to join a successful manufacturing business based close to Newmarket. Within this role you will be responsible for providing support to the sales team with after sales customer requests.

Duties will include:

* Processing orders

* Participating in internal and external meetings when requested

* Producing credit notes for spares returns and warranty items

* Update and maintain databases

* Ensure admin tasks are completed correctly and promptly

* Relationship building

* Report any issues back to the engineering and service departments to aid in the development of the company’s products and systems.

* Producing reports when required for the after sales manager

* Provide a full support service to both the UK and Export sales teams

* If requested attend national and international exhibitions, setting up the stands and making the display presentable

* Attending company visits

* Providing out of hours phone support (every third week on a rota basis)

Experience/skills required:

* After sales customer experience

* Previous engineering experience would be highly advantageous but is not essential

* Excellent communication skills

* Able to work closely with other team members to resolve customer issues

* Good organisational skills

* Able to work in a team

* Be proactive and reactive

* Able to work to deadlines

* Problem solving skills

* Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook

Hours of work:

08.00am – 17.00pm, 40 hours per week
