| Up to £24,000 | 30 Hours Per Week | Monday–Friday, 12:00–18:30

I’m currently recruiting on behalf of my client, a growing freight forwarding company based in Bolton, who are looking for a Customer Service Specialist to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous customer service experience, ideally gained within transport, logistics, freight forwarding or a similar fast-paced environment.

As a Customer Service Specialist, you will be responsible for looking after customers and supporting the wider team across the day-to-day road freight operation.

Your role will include:

Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers
Dealing with customer enquiries via phone and email
Providing regular updates and resolving any customer queries
Ensuring customers receive a high level of service
Assisting customers with their transport and freight requirements
Preparing and completing relevant freight documentation
Liaising with the internal team to ensure shipments are handled smoothly
Keeping customers informed throughout the process
Supporting the wider team when required
Ensuring information and documentation is accurate
Developing your knowledge of the road freight and freight forwarding industry About You We’re looking for someone who is customer-focused, confident and organised, with previous experience in a customer service environment.
You’ll ideally have:

Previous customer service experience
Excellent communication skills
A professional and friendly telephone manner
Strong written communication skills
Good attention to detail
The ability to manage multiple customer queries
Good IT skills
A proactive and positive approach
The ability to work well as part of a team
A willingness to learn and develop Experience within transport, logistics or freight forwarding would be a bonus, but is not essential.
