Customer Services Assistant
We are currently recruiting for a Customer Services Assistant to join a well-established and growing business based in Kirkby.
This is a varied and hands-on role that combines customer service, sales order processing, purchasing, stock control, and operational support. Reporting to the Customer Services Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring customers receive an excellent service while supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Processing customer sales orders accurately and efficiently.
Handling customer enquiries via telephone and email.
Maintaining customer and distributor records, product information, and standing orders.
Using the company's accounts software package to process orders and maintain records.
Producing reports and maintaining accurate documentation.
Raising and processing purchase orders.
Negotiating with suppliers and tracking orders through to delivery.
Assisting with stock control and participating in periodic stock takes.
Helping to maintain packaging stock levels.
Providing support within the warehouse and dispatch departments when required.
Ensuring all activities are carried out in accordance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards.
The Ideal Candidate
Previous experience within a customer service, sales administration, order processing, or operations role.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
Confident using IT systems and business software packages.
Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks effectively.
A proactive, flexible, and team-oriented approach.
Experience of purchasing, stock control, or warehouse operations would be advantageous but is not essential.
