Customer Logistics Co-ordinator
Our long-established client who is continuing to grow and develop their business are now looking to recruit for an experienced Logistics Planner.
Duties will include;
* Organising the delivery and despatch of large customers orders
* Confirming customer’s orders & liaising with customers regarding delivery dates & timescales
* Dealing with and resolving customers queries regarding orders
* Maintaining prompt response times to customers
* Liaising with manufacturing regarding lead times and despatch deadlines
* Raising all relevant despatch documents
* Liaising with and booking couriers, hauliers and transport companies depending on size of order
* Updating and maintaining records of costs of customers’ accounts
* Building relationships with customers and identifying any other opportunities
* Monitoring stock control and ensuring correct stock levels for Customer’s orders
* Building good relationships and effective lines of communication with manufacturing regarding the despatch of regular and daily orders
Suitable candidates will have previous Logistics Planning experience and ideally have experience in dealing direct with transport companies and/or dealing with builders merchants/construction materials industry experience.
Excellent communication & planning skills and the ability to build relationships with customers is essential
