Customer Field Advisor - Investigations

Full Time / Temporary / Minimum 3 months

£12.96 per hour - 37 hours per week Monday to Friday

Based at Washington site.

About the role

My client has an opportunity for you to work with their team within Wastewater Networks Investigation. Aw part of their Misconnection team your role will focus on the investigation and
resolution of issues where customers properties are wrongly connected to our sewerage
network. As part of this team, you will help to protect water quality in our rivers, streams, and
bathing waters. Protecting and enhancing the environment is at the core of Northumbrian
Water's business and the misconnections investigation process plays a key part in this.

Although the role is called a Sewerage Maintenance Operative the role is more about
providing advice to their customers face to face, whilst maintaining the integrity of the sewer
network. As a member of our team, you will undertake a field-based role, travelling to sites
across the Northeast to maintain our sewerage network. You will be working outside, dealing
with different challenges, every day, collaborating with colleagues to safely deliver unrivalled
customer service.

About You

As the role is field based, you will need to be self-sufficient, and have a high level of
attention to detail, as you will be recording details on manual forms and electronic devices.
They're are not specifically looking for you to have experience of working in Water, Waste-water,
or maintenance, but more they are looking for you to come from a customer service
background, so that retail, hospitality, customer service industries. They need people who
have a flexible approach, are happy to work outside in all weathers, have an ability or willing
to learn the systematic tracing of our underground sewer network and are not afraid to get
dirty.
Knowledge and practical experience of drainage networks along with use of CCTV
equipment would be great.
A full and valid driving licence will be required as they will provide you with a company van to
get around in your role.
This role requires a DBS check to be conducted on the successful candidate.
