£50,000 + Generous Signing Bonus

Salary and Benefits:
£50,000 Basic with a generous overtime structure
£2500 welcome bonus

Key Responsibilities:
Supervising and managing staff performance, including appraisals.
Conducting forensic sampling, such as road traffic offence bloods.
Offering support, referrals, and interventions to reduce re-offending.
Delivering substance misuse therapies.
Assessing and caring for detainees and staff in custody.
Collaborating with police and healthcare teams to assess high-risk detainees.
Coordinating healthcare resources for high-risk patients.
Managing healthcare professionals across custodies.
Triaging patients for acute hospital referral.
Balancing efficient care planning with patient wellbeing.
Providing supervision, mentorship, and training to junior staff.
Reviewing high-risk cases and ensuring care plan implementation.

Candidate Experience & Qualifications:
Qualified Registered Nurse or Paramedic.
A minimum of 5 years post-qualification
Experience acute medical healthcare experience. Such as: A&E, Walk-in Centre, Paramedic Practitioner, Substance Misuse, Community Nursing, Police Custody, Prison, or other relevant discipline. Previous leadership and management experience. Competent in Phlebotomy.
UK Driving License
Must be living within the UK for at least 3 years.

Desirable:
Previous Custody Healthcare experience.
Working with vulnerable individuals.
Working in Multi Disciplinary teams.

Shift Pattern:
Mixture of days and nights

Interview Process:
Face to Face tour with the Head of Healthcare followed a formal discussion.
