Curriculum Area Manager in Maths & Science – Permanent, Full Time, Monday - Friday (36 hours per week) - Salary £45,800 - £48,250 per annum depending on qualifications and experience – Onsite across Broxbourne & Ware Campuses, Holiday Entitlement - 35 Days + Bank Holidays, Closing Date – 20th May 2024 @ Midday
We are looking for a strong leader to join Hertford Regional College (HRC) as a Curriculum Area Manager to lead Maths and Science. You will support the Director and other college managers to ensure outstanding standards of provision through the planning, review, development, design and implementation of a curriculum which satisfies our communities’ and employers’ continuing needs.

About The Role
A key aspect of the role will be influencing and delivering the College Maths GCSE and FS strategy alongside managing the Science provision. This role is a vital component in the College’s intention to go from ‘Good’ to become ‘Outstanding’, at the next OFSTED inspection.
About You
You should have a degree in Maths or Science or a relevant subject/discipline or relevant management experience, along with a full teaching qualification; with successful experience of teaching in one of the subject areas you will be leading or courses up to Advanced level; a proven track record of improving the learner experience and the ability to make accurate judgments about the quality of teaching, learning and assessment.
You should also have substantial supervisory, curriculum, course management experience within a Further Education College or Post-16 School environment.
