As a Credit Risk Analyst in the transport and distribution industry, you'll play a key part in assessing financial risks and ensuring strong credit control processes. Your day-to-day work will help the business maintain steady cash flow and minimise financial exposure.

Client Details

This organisation operates in the transport and distribution industry.

Description

Opening and renewing customer credit accounts having analysed the Experian reports and company accounts where necessary.

Reviewing the '75% list' to check whether credit limits can be increased or early direct debits need to be taken.

Helping to oversee the customer account opening process and ensure customer account details are entered correctly.

Able to help and cover the sales ledger where required including:

- Daily transfer of supplier electronic data files into our computer system regarding fuel drawings.

- Problem solving for errors when carrying out the task above.

- Raising sales invoices for fuel drawings.

- Provide assisitance to the credit contoller - production of early invoices, taking direct debits as required and chasing debts.

Review accounts where we taken multiple early payments to consider what further action should be taken (increase limit, close account, request deposit).

Oversee the bank reference process and help where required.

Speak to customers where required to understand poor Experian reports or accounts and make judgement on whether to keep the account open.

Learn and provide cover for other functions within the department including the following epecially:

- Monthly payroll

- Fuel margin analysis

- Stock reconciliations (weekly and monthly)

Ad-hoc accounts department tasks.

Help review customer credit accounts across other group companies.Profile

A successful Credit Risk Analyst should have:

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in financial analysis and credit risk assessment.
Familiarity with accounting principles and financial reporting.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Confidence in using relevant software and tools for credit analysis.
