Credit Controller
Edinburgh | Full Time | Permanent
STEM Recruitment Solutions are delighted to be recruiting for a Credit Controller on behalf of our Edinburgh-based client.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy finance team where you'll play a key role in managing customer accounts, reducing aged debt and supporting healthy cash flow. We're looking for someone with strong communication skills, a proactive approach and previous credit control experience.
Key Responsibilities
Manage customer accounts, ensuring payments are collected on time.
Chase outstanding invoices and resolve payment queries.
Assess customer creditworthiness and set appropriate credit limits.
Negotiate payment plans and resolve billing disputes.
Maintain accurate customer records and credit files.
Monitor aged debt and minimise credit risk.
Work closely with finance, sales and customer service teams to resolve account issues.
About You
Previous experience in a Credit Control role.
Strong understanding of UK credit control processes and best practice.
Experience using ERP or finance systems.
Good Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation and customer service skills.
Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
Manufacturing experience is advantageous but not essential.
