Credit Controller - Servicing Department
Location: South-East London
Salary: Up to £40k basic depending on experience

We specialise in the reclamation and processing of all recycling streams using our fleet of vehicles including Dustcart, Skips, Cages & RoRo’s. or via our range of Compaction Machinery.

We are currently looking to recruit a Credit Controller to join our Accounts Department operating our Servicing and Rentals side of the business.
Key responsibilities in this role will include:
• Responsible for 700+ live accounts and a ledger worth £4 million
• Client account maintenance
• Chasing all overdue accounts by telephone, letters and email.
• Debt escalation and preparing pre-legal files
• Liaising with relevant managers to resolve queries and disputes
• Negotiating debt settlement and payment terms
• Invoicing, raising adjustments (credit and debit) and monthly statements
• Processing direct debit & credit card payments
• Cash write offs, write backs and weekly reconciliations
• Dealing with invoice queries, investigate and issue credits if authorised
• Creating detailed aged debtor reports, Reconciliation reports, Direct Debit Reports
• Allocating payments and reconciliations
• Experience using Sage 50, Xero and Advanced Excel (Pivots)
• Desired Experience of Gocardless , Sage Pay
The ideal candidate should have the following experience but training can be given –
• IT Skills – TAS and Sage, ISYS (Credit invoices only)
• Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
• Communication Skills
• Customer service experience
• Credit Control experience
To be considered for this position, you will have a stable background as a Credit Controller and must have good computer skills as well as being. You must have good attention to detail, be well organised and be able to deal with suppliers and other clients.
A basic salary of up to £40,000 and a steady career path within an established company is on offer
