Credit Controller
Based in Bromley

We are looking to recruit an experienced credit controller for a busy HVAC / building services company whose offices are based in Bromley.
The position will suit someone who is very knowledgeable & experienced in the credit control field & likely worked under their own supervision, who can take over the credit control responsibilities with confidence and ease, displaying a good understanding of the processes and procedures in this field.
Working alongside a busy accounts team ensuring all areas are covered & managed to meet key accounts deadlines etc.
Duties
Overseeing the full credit control function for the business
Performing credit checks on new customers
Setting credit limits
Uploading details onto inhouse system
Looking at debtors list & actioning credit recovery as per company guidelines & procedures
Looking at aged debt lists and monitoring.
Liaising with new & existing customers, for information requirements & explaining terms of adherence
Engaging with customers in all aspects of credit control & explaining processes so a full understanding of payment terms & procedures is explained.
Enforcing legal procedures where necessary.
Understanding various payment terms for all clients
Managing PO’S
Follow up on credit processing.
Identifying any credit issues & escalating to relevant management
list for discussion.
Identifying and systems issues, spot any anomalies, investigate and rectify
Report generating for Management and Accountants
Monitoring business cash flow & updating accountants on specifics
Attend adhoc finance meetings to report on current situation & also forecast for following months.
Good finance planning skills
All associated finance administration
Skills & Experience
Proven experience in a similar role
Full credit control knowledge and processes & procedures
Experience working with Xero /Sage etc.
Good knowledge Microsoft packages
Good customer service skills and ability to nurture and develop client relationships.
Very occasional travel to accountant’s offices in Sevenoaks for finance meetings (travel paid)
