About The Role

We are excited to be looking for a Credit Controller – the role will sit within our Central Collections and Support Team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring we support our clients with the timely repayment of their outstanding account balances as well as support wider debt collection activities. Reporting to the Collections Team Lead, your primary focus will be on collections activity and workflow optimisation.

You’ll be Involved In:

* Collections: you will manage a portfolio of debt cases, maximising collections whilst ensuring the fair and consistent treatment of clients, following procedures and legal and regulatory guidelines.

* Communication: You will engage with clients professionally and ethically.

* Documentation: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all interactions and case updates.

* Issue Resolution: Attempt to resolve routine issues independently and escalate complex cases to the Team Lead.

* Compliance: Adhere to all relevant laws and regulations governing debt collection practices.

* Continuous Learning: Participate in training and development programs, staying updated on industry best practices.

Ideally, you will be:

* Experienced in debt collection – 2 years +

* A strong communicator with strong interpersonal skills.

* Proactive and will excel in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

* Able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and deal with ambiguity.

* Data-driven with an analytical mindset with the ability to maximise collection rates and identify and implement process improvements.

* Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory frameworks.

* Experienced in Excel and PowerPoint skills.
