The role:

The College is looking for a Creative Arts Lecturer, to deliver Creative Arts courses to 16+ year olds students. The creative studies department offers courses across a number of industries, they include Fine Arts, 3D Sculpture, Textiles and Fashion, Graphic Design, Print/Illustration and Photography, Film and Media, Creative Studio Techniques, and Art and Design.

Duties of the position:

Ensure students achieve their academic potential
To deliver the best practice in learning, teaching and assessing.
Keep up to date with curriculum initiatives
Marking and returning students work in accordance with college policies
Create engaging, informative and fun lessons
To act as a Personal Tutor when required offering 1:1 support for students
Complete any continued personal development required (e.g. completing teaching or assessing qualifications

What you need:

A recognised teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one whilst in post
Degree or vocational qualification at the appropriate level in a relevant subject
Effective communication skills and ability to work flexibly as part of the college team
Relevant and current subject knowledge
GCSE Maths and English C or above
A clear enhanced DBS which the college would process for you
