Cover Supervisor - Huddersfield

Protocol Education is seeking confident, reliable, and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in Huddersfield. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced teaching assistants, or individuals with experience working with young people who are looking to gain valuable classroom experience.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher, ensuring students remain engaged with pre-set work and maintaining a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects.
Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
Ensure students remain on task and complete assigned work.
Provide support and guidance to students where appropriate.
Report on student progress and behaviour to teaching staff.
Maintain a safe, inclusive, and productive learning environment.

Requirements

Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Confidence leading groups of students aged 11-16.
A flexible and proactive approach to work.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
Right to work in the UK.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
