Overview:

We are looking for proactive and self-motivated Cover Supervisors to support educational continuity in schools across Hertfordshire. This role involves supervising students and managing classroom activities in the absence of the regular teacher. It is suited to individuals who can manage classroom behaviors effectively and ensure that set work is completed in a safe and constructive environment.

Responsibilities:

* Supervising work that has been set in accordance with the school policy.

* Managing the behavior of pupils while they are undertaking set work to ensure a constructive environment.

* Responding to any questions from pupils about process and procedures.

* Dealing with any immediate problems or emergencies in accordance with school policies.

* Collecting completed work after the lesson and returning it to the appropriate teacher.

* Reporting back as appropriate using the school’s agreed referral procedures on the behavior of pupils during the class, and any issues arising.

Qualifications:

* Experience in an educational setting is advantageous but not essential.

* Strong classroom management skills with the ability to promote focus and discipline.

* Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively manage classroom dynamics.

* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
