TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming secondary school in Berwick-upon-Tweed that is looking to appoint a dedicated Cover Supervisor. The school is committed to providing a positive learning environment where students are encouraged to achieve their full potential, supported by a collaborative leadership team and a strong focus on high-quality teaching and learning.
The school is looking to appoint a Cover Supervisor on a long-term basis from September. The successful Cover Supervisor will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects to students in Key Stages 3 to 5, maintaining excellent classroom behaviour, supporting pupils with additional needs where required, and ensuring learning continues in the absence of the class teacher.
The successful Cover Supervisor will have:
GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/Level 2 equivalent) or above
NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent, with an ICT qualification desirable
Experience working with students across Key Stages 3 to 5
Experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is desirable
Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE)
Experience using ICT to support learning, including SIMS and classroom technology such as interactive whiteboards
Excellent communication, organisation and classroom management skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
