Colmore Education are currently recruiting for a Cover Supervisor to join a mainstream secondary school in Dudley.
We are looking for a confident, reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor who can confidently manage classes and maintain a positive learning environment when the usual teacher is absent.
The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
* Supervising students across KS3 and KS4.
* Delivering pre-set work and ensuring students remain focused and engaged.
* Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
* Building positive relationships with students and staff.
* Maintaining a calm, safe and productive classroom environment.
* Providing feedback to teaching staff where appropriate.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will ideally have:
* Previous experience working with secondary-aged students.
* Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
* The confidence to supervise classes independently.
* Excellent communication skills.
* A professional, reliable and positive approach.
* The flexibility to work across different subjects and year groups.
Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, Tutor, Sports Coach or in another education-based role would be advantageous.
