If you have hands-on experience supporting young people-whether as a support worker, youth leader, sports coach, teaching assistant, or academic tutor-your leadership and communication skills are precisely what classrooms need when permanent staff are away.

Key Duties:

Lead pre-planned lessons efficiently across various subjects during teacher absences.
Deliver engaging educational content while keeping students focused and on-task.
Maintain strong, positive behaviour management in line with school policies.
Support student learning and foster a safe, inclusive classroom environment.
Complete accurate attendance registers and report back to core teaching staff.

Requirements:

Proven prior experience working directly with children or young people.
High level of confidence in whole-class management and communication.
