Position Overview:
We are currently seeking dedicated individuals for the position of Short-Term Cover Supervisor. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining continuity of education by providing cover for absent teachers across various secondary schools in Berkshire. This is a temporary position with contracts ranging from short-term to long-term assignments, depending on the needs of the schools.
Responsibilities:
Deliver pre-prepared lessons as directed by the absent teacher
Manage the classroom environment effectively
Ensure students remain on task and engaged in learning
Uphold school policies and procedures
Provide feedback to regular teaching staff on student progress
Foster a positive and supportive learning environmentRequirements:
Minimum of 6 months UK education-based experience
Enhanced DBS on the update service
Valid safeguarding certification
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt to different classroom environments
Strong classroom management skills
