Rotherwood Education are currently recruiting for a reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a secondary school in the Colne area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong behaviour management skills who can confidently supervise classes and support pupils' learning across a range of subjects.
Previous experience working in UK schools is desirable, and the successful candidate must be confident maintaining classroom discipline and ensuring pupils remain focused on their work.

About the Cover Supervisor Role
*
Supervise classes across different subjects and year groups in the absence of the regular teacher
*
Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure pupils complete the work provided
*
Maintain strong classroom discipline and manage challenging behaviour effectively
*
Keep pupils engaged, focused and on task throughout lessons
*
Provide support and guidance to pupils where appropriate
*
Follow school behaviour policies and maintain high expectations
*
Report any concerns regarding pupil behaviour or progress to teaching staff
*
Follow safeguarding, health and safety procedures at all times
The Ideal Cover Supervisor Will
*
Have strong behaviour management skills and the confidence to manage secondary school classes
*
Ideally have previous experience working in UK schools
*
Be confident supervising pupils across a range of subjects
*
Have a calm, firm and consistent approach to classroom management
*
Demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills
*
Be adaptable, reliable and able to use initiative
*
Be committed to supporting pupils' learning and development
*
Be committed to safeguarding children and young people
*
Provide details of the two most recent references, covering the last five years' work history
*
Possess a current DBS check or be prepared to apply for one as part of registration
*
Be willing to complete a face-to-face registration and satisfy the required safeguarding and compliance checks
