Description:
First For Education are seeking a confident, flexible and reliable General Cover Supervisor to join a well-regarded secondary school in Nuneaton on a full-time basis for the remainder of the academic year.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Cover Supervisor or someone looking to develop their experience within a secondary school environment.
You will be responsible for supervising classes across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4), delivering pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects and ensuring students remain engaged, focused and on task in the absence of their usual teacher.
The successful candidate will be adaptable, organised and confident managing classroom behaviour while creating a positive learning environment. The school has a strong behaviour policy and a supportive Senior Leadership Team, providing a welcoming environment for staff and students.

General Cover Supervisor Requirements
*
Previous experience working in a school or with young people is desirable
*
Confidence managing classroom behaviour and maintaining discipline
*
Ability to supervise students across KS3 and KS4
*
Strong communication and organisational skills
*
A flexible, proactive and adaptable approach
*
Ability to follow lesson plans and school procedures
*
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
*
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
Key Responsibilities
*
Supervise classes across a range of subjects in the absence of the regular teacher
*
Deliver pre-planned work and ensure students understand the tasks set
*
Maintain a positive, safe and well-managed classroom environment
*
Encourage student participation and keep pupils focused on their learning
*
Manage behaviour in line with the school's policies and procedures
*
Report any issues or concerns to the appropriate member of staff
*
Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding student engagement and behaviour
*
Support the wider school team where required
