Are you confident leading a classroom and passionate about supporting young people? Do you have experience working with children or young people and want to take the next step in education?

TeacherActive is working with a fantastic secondary school in the heart of the Sittingbourne community that is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis from September.

The successful Cover Supervisor will have:

Experience working with young people in an educational, coaching, mentoring or youth work setting
Strong behaviour management skills and the confidence to lead a classroom
Excellent communication and organisational skills
The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
A calm, adaptable and professional approach
A degree or specialist subject knowledge is desirable but not essential

Your responsibilities will include:

Delivering pre-planned lessons across a variety of subjects
Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
Encouraging students to engage with their learning and complete the work set
Providing feedback to teaching staff following each lesson
Supporting the school's inclusive ethos and high expectations for all learners
