About the role:
Prospero Teaching are seeking enthusiastic and adaptable Cover Supervisors to work within a secondary school setting. This role is perfect for individuals looking for flexibility while gaining valuable classroom experience.

You will supervise lessons in the absence of teaching staff, ensuring students remain engaged with learning and are able to complete set work in a focused and productive atmosphere.

Previous experience in education is beneficial but not essential. Successful candidates may come from a variety of backgrounds including teaching assistance, youth work, sports coaching, mentoring, tutoring, childcare, customer service, the armed forces, performing arts, or other roles involving leadership and working with young people.

We're looking for a dedicated candidate to:

Supervise whole classes during teacher absences
Manage classroom behaviour effectively
Deliver pre-planned lesson activities
Support students in completing set work
Build positive relationships with pupils and staff
Adapt confidently to different subjects and year groups
Maintain a safe and productive learning environmentRequirements -

Experience working with young people, either in schools or other settings
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Confidence managing groups of students
A flexible and proactive approach to work
Excellent organisational skills
The ability to remain calm under pressure
