Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join one of our exceptional Secondary Schools in Wolverhampton. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining continuity in the classroom by providing cover for absent teachers across various subjects and year groups.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and activities according to the school's curriculum.
Manage student behavior effectively, applying appropriate disciplinary measures when necessary.
Support students in their learning, offering guidance and assistance as required.
Liaise with teaching staff and school administration to ensure smooth operation of the cover process.
Maintain accurate records of attendance and behavior incidents during cover sessions.Requirements:
Previous experience working in a school environment, preferably as a Cover Supervisor or Teaching Assistant.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
Excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to maintain order and discipline.
A genuine passion for education and supporting the academic and personal development of young people.
Flexibility and adaptability to work across different subjects and year groups as required.
