We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a reputable mainstream secondary school in the Ashford area. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining a positive and productive learning environment, ensuring the continued development and well-being of our students.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and manage classroom activities during the short-term absence of regular teachers.
* Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans, maintaining a structured and engaging learning environment.
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that supports student learning and behavior.
* Manage classroom resources and maintain a tidy and organized learning space.
* Assist with student inquiries and provide academic support as needed.
* Maintain accurate records of student attendance and behavior.
* Collaborate with teaching staff and school leadership to ensure the smooth running of the school day.
* Follow school policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
Qualifications and Skills:
* A minimum of a bachelor's degree in any discipline (education-related degree preferred).
* Previous experience working in an educational setting is desirable but not essential.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment.
* Adaptability and a willingness to follow and implement lesson plans.
* Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

* DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance or willingness to obtain one.
