Counterbalance

Description:

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join our team. You will be responsible for safely operating a counterbalance forklift to move, load, unload and organise stock and materials across the warehouse and yard.

The successful candidate will have good attention to detail, a strong commitment to health and safety, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate a counterbalance forklift in accordance with site procedures and health & safety regulations.
Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently.
Move and position pallets, materials and stock around the warehouse and yard.
Load materials into designated storage areas and ensure stock is stored correctly.
Carry out daily forklift checks and report any defects or maintenance requirements.
Assist with general warehouse duties when required.
Ensure goods are handled carefully to prevent damage.
Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
Follow all company policies, procedures and site safety requirements.
Work closely with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Complete relevant paperwork and stock movement records where required.

Requirements

Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence/Certificate.
Previous experience operating a counterbalance forklift in a warehouse, yard or industrial environment.
Good understanding of workplace health and safety procedures.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
Good communication and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
Flexibility to work additional hours or shifts when required.

Desirable

Previous experience in a busy warehouse, manufacturing or distribution environment.
Experience loading and unloading HGVs.
Experience working in an outdoor yard environment.
Additional forklift qualifications, such as Reach or Bendi, would be advantageous.
