Salary: £13.28 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 14:00 - 22:00

Aligra is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity on behalf of our well-respected client in Tilbury. We are searching for a dedicated and skilled Counterbalance Forklift Driver who is ready to take on a challenging yet rewarding role in a dynamic outdoor environment.
About the Role:
As a Counterbalance Forklift Driver, you will play a crucial role in the operations of our client's busy distribution hub. This position requires a reliable and proactive individual who is prepared to work outdoors in all weather conditions, ensuring the smooth and efficient handling of goods and materials.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate counterbalance forklifts safely and efficiently to load and unload goods from trucks and containers.
* Store and stack materials in assigned locations, using the forklift to stack items at various heights, ensuring stability and compliance with safety procedures.
* Conduct routine checks and maintenance on the forklift to ensure it is in good working order, reporting any faults or damages immediately.
* Work closely with the warehouse team to coordinate movements and manage inventory accuracy.
* Follow strict health and safety guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and adhering to company policies.
* Assist with inventory counts and ensure the accuracy of shipments and receipts.
* Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure tasks are completed on time and to the highest standards.
* Be adaptable to various tasks as required, such as manual handling and general warehouse duties.
About You:
* Valid counterbalance forklift licence is essential.
* Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in an outdoor or challenging environment.
* Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent physical condition, capable of manual handling and operating machinery safely.
* Punctual, reliable, and committed to achieving excellence in all tasks.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
