Counterbalance FLT Driver / Warehouse Operative
Location: Poolsbrook, Chesterfield
Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour to £14:00 per hour
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm
Hours per week: 42.5
Contract: 8–12 weeks guaranteed, with the potential for a permanent position
The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for Counterbalance FLT Drivers / Warehouse Operatives to join a busy manufacturing and production environment based in Poolsbrook.
This is a great opportunity for candidates looking for immediate, consistent work, with 8–12 weeks guaranteed and the potential for a permanent position for the right people.
The roles involve a combination of forklift truck operation and hands-on production or assembly duties. We are looking for practical, reliable individuals who are happy to get involved and support the wider team.
Key Responsibilities
Operating a counterbalance forklift truck safely and efficiently.
Supporting the movement and organisation of stock and materials.
Assisting with general production and warehouse duties.
Helping with the assembly of modular products.
Assisting with the fitting of plastic rings into flexible sleeves.
Moving materials and products around the site as required.
Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
Following health and safety procedures at all times.
The Ideal Candidate
Must hold a valid counterbalance FLT licence.
Previous forklift or warehouse experience is preferred.
Comfortable carrying out practical, hands-on duties alongside FLT work.
Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexible and willing to support different areas of production.
Must be able to drive or live locally to Poolsbrook due to the location and working hours.
What's on Offer?
£13.00 per hour.
Monday to Friday working hours, 8:00am–5:00pm.
42.5 hours per week.
Guaranteed work for 8–12 weeks.
Potential for a permanent position following the assignment.
A varied role combining FLT operation, production and assembly.
