Costs Draftsman/Lawyer – Hybrid / Fully remote working
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Costs Draftsperson or Costs Lawyer.
The Company is a Legal 500 Law Firm, Law Society accredited and recognised by Chambers. The firm specialises in Personal Injury, Clinical Negligence and Road Traffic accidents. They offer great benefits and an excellent working culture with fantastic progression opportunities.
The role we are recruiting for is a Costs Draftsperson or Costs Lawyer who is confident with drafting Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury Bills of Costs. You will handle a diverse caseload of Legal matters and your main duties will consist of:
* Prepare and submit Legal Bills of Costs.
* Drafting and management of a caseload of files.
* To liaise and advise with fee earners and support staff in relation to a variety of legal costs matters.
* Provide technical advice and supervision to junior members of the team.
* Report any cases that fall outside of the draftsperson’s individual authority to the Costs Team Manager.
* Conducting negotiations regarding costs issues.
* Ensure the case management system is used properly and effectively in accordance with agreed procedures.
* Monitor and manage own compliance with targets in respect of income and drafting.
