Cost Analyst
Telford
Temp to Perm
Monday – Friday – 8:30am – 5:00pm
Salary – £30,000 - £35,000
We are recruiting for a large international manufacturing organisation based in Telford. They are looking for a Cost Analyst on a temporary to permanent basis.
You will be responsible for:
* Support the costing and controlling functions
* Support the purchase ledger and accounts assistant treasury tasks
* Gather and analyse job costing data
* Compare actual cost and sales records against planned costs
* Provide concise reasons to explain positive and adverse variances
* Prepare detailed reports
* Forecast and analyse costs of processes, inventory, and labour
* Produce journals and reconciliations for monthly management accounts
* Liaise with internal contacts to resolve costing queries
* Deal with customer invoice queries
• Post job costing related purchase ledger invoices
* Support local management and sales teams with product cost analysis
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will need to have experience of working in a manufacturing environment and a detailed understanding of costing techniques and variance analysis. You will need to have strong MS Excel skills and SAP/NAV experience would be an advantage.
