Cost Accountant

We have registered a new opportunity on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract, for a Cost Accountant to join this global company. As the Cost Accountant you will work closely with key stakeholders to review product manufacturing costs, create standardised product costings, evaluate product profitability, and seek cost efficiency to improve margins and profitability.

Cost Accountant Responsibilities:

As the Cost Accountant you will be responsible for;

Manage and control of manufacturing product cost models
Produce and improve costings/ bill of materials and product pricing including liaising with manufacturing and sales team to provide knowledge and analysis on manufacturing costs
Implement weekly production reports and variance reporting
Conduct margin analysis of both manufactured and bought in products
Work closely alongside Commercial teams to manage business profitability both in current and new products
Take ownership of the inventory process end to end, including the annual cost roll process

Cost Accountant Experience

The successful candidate will be a part or fully qualified finance professional, with extensive experience of cost accounting, or management accounting within a similar manufacturing environment. You must have thorough knowledge of standard costing, inventory management and proven experience with SAP.

You will be a calm and adaptable team player, who works well under pressure, in a changing and developing environment. You will have excellent attention to detail and time management skills, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Location

This position is hybrid, with 3 days per week at their office in South Oxfordshire. There is free onsite parking available.

This is a full-time role, on a fixed term contract for 1 year.
